When was the last time there was a "Knock-knock at your front door"?

Dazed, your musical knowledge is *astounding*. I'm pretty sure that you weren't around when some of these bands formed but I was. (Unfortunately, that means I'm like....ancient) I think you're taking me back to the late 70s here with the Dead Kennedys, but I can't quite put a title of the song with those lyrics. It was something with California in it but that's as far as I can get.
