How do I find out if I have unlimited text messaging?

I have Verizon Wireless. I just got my new phone yesterday and we joined my step-dad's account. He has unlimited texing, pixing, and flixing on his phone. Does the unlimited txting,pixng, and flxing when you pay for it go for all the phones on the plan. Or just select phones on the plan?
